HOW LONG HAVE WE BEEN IN THE BUSINESS?

We have been welding and installing iron fences and gates in the Chicago area for more than 20 years. Skyline Metal Fabrication has a wide range of clients from the city to the suburbs, homeowners, condo associations and builders/contractors remodeling homes. We are licensed and BBB accredited; and well reviewed on Google and Yelp platforms. Skyline carries supplemental insurance to provide quality services for your peace of mind.

WHAT TYPE OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU COMPLETED?

Skyline welds and installs iron fencing, gates, sliding gates, and security doors of all sizes. We install custom wrought iron handrails and railings on steps, porches and balconies. We install staircases and spiral staircases, to meet personal needs and the design requests of clients. We repair and restore stairs and landings for multi-unit buildings. WHAT SETS OUR PRODUCT AND SERVICE APART FROM OTHERS?

We consult with you on your project, offering ideas/solutions that meet your needs. We customize each piece of your project by hand; welding, fabricating, painting and installing. We weld railings, fences and gates using iron posts and SOLID bars for all of our work. We finish the project with industrial primer and the highest quality exterior paint from Sherwin Williams^® or Benjamin Moore^®. We do not install prefabricated store bought fences or gates.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?

Your trust, and confidence, in Skyline Metal Fabrication to complete your project is of utmost importance. We require a 50% deposit to confirm the schedule, purchase supplies and to begin labor for your project. The remaining balance is due when the project is complete and meets your satisfaction. We remain in contact throughout the fabrication process.

WHEN DO YOU DO ESTIMATES?

We can come to your property almost any day of the week, take measurements and meet to discuss the project. You can meet us on site for discussion and allow access to the property, or we can take measurements alone. If it is a rental property, we ask that you inform the residents of our arrival. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION?

Your specific project and needs will determine the length of time to complete the installation. In most cases, setting posts for fences and gates can happen as soon as schedule permits. We weld, fabricate and prime/paint in our own workshop, and deliver pieces to your property ready for us to install. Weather in Chicago is a factor to consider and we will do our best to keep clients informed throughout the process. Additionally, we welcome check in calls. We give a realistic start time for projects with the estimate.

How “Green” Are YOU?

Skyline Metal Fabrication takes the health of our environment seriously. We recycle what we can and dispose of waste responsibly. We are attentive to your property, and will clean after our work and installation process. Skyline’s purpose is to enhance and beautify a space, we care for plant life and our surroundings while we work. We will dispose of old debris as part of the estimate.

Are there permits required for fences in Chicago?

In the City of Chicago, there is no requirement for permits, or inspection, for fences up to 5 feet high. Surrounding suburbs have their own permits and requirements for fences, and it is required to obtain information and appropriate permits for work to begin. We are able to obtain permit for many Suburbs, including Wilmette, Evanston, Cicero, Berwyn, Oak Park, Oak Lawn, Burbank and more.

What about privacy?

Your privacy is important to Skyline Metal Fabrication. We will not disclose your personal information to other industry providers, companies, or future customers. We do take pictures of our completed work to provide reference in the future; and may use pictures/reviews in our gallery, website and social media platforms. We will make every effort to remove any personal or identifying information from the pictures themselves. We welcome real customer reviews of our business interactions with you and may highlight those comments online.
